Clay Firings

The images below are of clay works completed at the Goombungee Public Hall Play with Clay workshops held on Monday 8, Wednesday 10 and Monday 15 January.

All of the pieces left to dry in the Public Hall were conveyed by car down to Ipswich Pottery for firing (see the first picture in the gallery below.) . Although extreme care was taken in travelling the pieces some of them did not make it. They either fell apart or broke so severely that it was not possible to complete the firing. Regrettably, this happens. One or two pieces fell apart but we fired them anyway because it is possible to reassemble the pieces and glue them together using Araldite (the recommended glue for ceramics).

IF YOU RECOGNISE YOUR PIECE, please email scott@ozplays.com and give me the corresponding number for that piece. I will organise to meet you either at Goombungee Primary School (school closing time) or at another location to be negotiated.

Once again, thank you so much for participating in Play with Clay.
