Through simple games this workshop introduces students to a playful method of sentence inversion which results in the formation of iambic pentameter from simple prose narrative. Writing like Shakespeare. Through a series of fun staged challenges, students are led to building an iambic story or monologue about the Shakespeare play – or a Shakespeare character that they are studying. This workshop can incorporate fun exercises in building your own Shakespearean insults.
