Structure of Scene and Play

Service Description

This workshop uses improvisation to introduce, apply and develop knowledge of scene and play structure. Through group participation exercises participants will learn about inciting incident, conflict, crisis and climax, resolution, protagonist and antagonist, theme, place, time and embedded action. Through a series of short systematic exercises participants learn to play-build scenes beginning from each of these dramatic elements. From this playful experience participants gain a sound working knowledge of the essential structure of dramatic script or screenplay.
