Service Description

This workshop introduces the core concepts underpinning Verbatim Theatre: storytelling and local community stories. Working through activities on active listening, synthesising stories through improvisation and reflecting on the impact of telling stories about real people, this workshop explicitly engages students to think critically about the dramatic elements of movement, role and language while exploring how verbal stories and community oral histories can be re-told and shaped through performance.
