Acting with Stanislavski

Service Description

This workshop introduces students to the four core principles of the Stanislavski system as used by professional actors. Using simple texts students are guided through a practice-led introduction for interpreting, exploring and applying Given Circumstances, Objectives, The Magic If and Inner Monologue. Students discover how each ‘tool’ of the System is both an aid to close interpretation of text and to building a detailed professional performance. Where time permits, this workshop can culminate in specific coaching for performance texts that the students are preparing for assessment.
