Ozplays commits to the following recommendations:

GENDER EQUITY

Organisations have a responsibility to:
• Ensure that artists and employees o all gender identities are afforded the safety, security and dignity they are entitled to under anti-discrimination law
• Consider how gender roles and conceptions of gendered labour vary between cultural contexts, especially within non-First nations and First Nations communities
• Ensure women, trans, non-binary and gender diverse artists are afforded opportunities for professional growth and to take part in governance and decision-making
• Redress historical gender inequities in art collections through measures such as targets, policies, and targeted collection fundraising
• Provide all-gender bathrooms, suitable all-gender spaces for feeding and changing infants, and provisions for childcare
• Avoid tokenism and essentialism when organising exhibitions and events around themes related to gender
Artists have a responsibility to:
• Support the equitable treatment of fellow artists, peers and arts workers in professional contexts
• Share their pronouns if they wish to do so
• Consider the politics of gender representation in relation to their own practices
• Behave appropriately and professionally in work settings and contexts
